Hello! My name is Shalyn Gamba, (pronounced SHAH-lin), and I am the owner of The Beauty Alcove studio. You may also know me from my social media page, @highbrowboston.

I’ve spent more than 27 years in the beauty industry, including 14 years specializing in permanent makeup. My goal has always been simple: create results that still feel like you, while making every person who walks through my doors feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

Outside the studio, my world revolves around my son and our home where it is quite literally raining cats and dogs. I’m originally from Canada, love to travel anywhere and everywhere, and am a total foodie. I also love sharing more of my life, work, and everything in between through Highbrow Boston.

After all these years, I still love what I do. I’m constantly learning, refining my craft, and sharing what I’ve learned along the way. The trust my clients place in me is something I never take for granted, and I’d love to have you in my chair.
